Fish Curry


Ingredients
  1. Fish  pieces.                     250gm
  2. Small onion.                    1/2cup finely chopped
  3. Tomato.                          1no
  4. Tamarind (kudam puli).   2segment
  5. Curry leaves                    a few
  6. Chillie powder.               1tbs full
  7. Coriander powder.          3/4 tbs
  8. Pepper powder.              1/2 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder.           1/2 tsp
  10. Mustard seeds.               1/2tsp
  11. Fenugreek seeds.           1/2tsp
  12. Ginger garlic.                 1tbs finely chopped
  13. Green chilies(slit)         2 nos
Preparation

Heat 3tbs of oil in a clay pot and add mustard and fenugreek. Once the mustard pops, add onion and fry until light brown. Add ginger and garlic, sauté for half a minute and add tomato (finely chopped) and curry leaves, sauté for another minute and add  ingredients 6.-- 9. Sauté until oil separates .Add  one and a half cup of water and bring to a boil. Once boiled, add fish, tamarind and salt respectively.Close the pan and reduce flame till the gravy thickens.Can be served with brown or white rice.
