Fish Curry
Ingredients
- Fish pieces. 250gm
- Small onion. 1/2cup finely chopped
- Tomato. 1no
- Tamarind (kudam puli). 2segment
- Curry leaves a few
- Chillie powder. 1tbs full
- Coriander powder. 3/4 tbs
- Pepper powder. 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder. 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds. 1/2tsp
- Fenugreek seeds. 1/2tsp
- Ginger garlic. 1tbs finely chopped
- Green chilies(slit) 2 nos
Preparation
Heat 3tbs of oil in a clay pot and add mustard and fenugreek. Once the mustard pops, add onion and fry until light brown. Add ginger and garlic, sauté for half a minute and add tomato (finely chopped) and curry leaves, sauté for another minute and add ingredients 6.-- 9. Sauté until oil separates .Add one and a half cup of water and bring to a boil. Once boiled, add fish, tamarind and salt respectively.Close the pan and reduce flame till the gravy thickens.Can be served with brown or white rice.
