Banana fritters (Kerala evening snack)

Ingredients:


  1. Very ripe banana               1no
  2. All purpose flour               3tbs
  3. Cornflour                          1tbs
  4. Turmericpowder                1/4tsp
  5. Baking soda                       A pinch
  6. Sugar                                1tsp (optional
  7. Salt                                   A pinch
  8. Sesame seeds                    1 tsp
  9. Water                                Required amount
  10. Coconut oil                        For frying

Preparation: 

Half the banana then slice in to 3 pieces each, lengthwise (total six pieces).
Mix ingredients 2 to 8 well and add water to make a thick batter. Heat oil in an iron pan or frying pan. Smother each banana with batter and drop it into the oil. Fry until it turns golden, and toss to cook both sides evenly. Transfer to a plate and blot with tissues.
